I'll say one thing; Fun sure flies while your doing time. All of the preperation and gathering is finally coming to a close and we will setting up for the Sakura Con starting tomorrow. Thanks to the internet connectivity at the Convention site we will not have to close down the Shopping Cart so everything will still be available for the on-line crowd and we will be monitoring it while we are manning the booth.

I am looking forward to seeing all of the local crowd there as well as meeting lots of new people and introducing them to the new kids on the block. Hopefully, we will pick up more friends and maore people who will spread the word that we actually have a store right here in Washington.

Anyway, we'll let everyone know how it went when the dust settles on Sunday.

Well, Sakura-Con is over for this year and things are starting to return to normal around here. Well, ok, as normal as it can get with the crew that works in the store.

All in all, the Con was a fun time and seeing and meeting all of the people who stopped by was the best part of the whole thing. There were some Awesome Costumes and a few raggedy ones but that is to be expected when about 20,000 people get together to celebrate a life style. As well, we would like to say congratulations again to Michael Loggains who was the winner of the Sephiroth Polystone Statue in the raffle drawing on sunday.

Some of you have since come by the store for the first time and we look forward to more of you who picked up a flyer or business card finding your way here. We think you will pleasantly surprised by the size and diversity of the products here as well as the friendly staff who will try to answer your questions.

Lastly, we will be starting a new service here in the store for those of you can stop by locally. Since we have acquired a professional grade disc polisher, we will now be offering disc repair services for those who need them put back in condition. Services will start at $3.00 a disc and escalate to $5.00 for one that requires severe care to put it right. Done while you wait and usually only takes about 10 minutes. It is something we feel can really be of use to the Anime community in the neighborhood. Let us know how you feel. Oh, Yeah. It isn't limited to just Anime. We'll help put back any DVD or CD that is in need.

Until the next edition

Well, the latest order has finally arrived and there are a couple of real goodies here. First off, Code Geass has finally arrived and is available along with a complete boxset of Mazinger Z TV. The latest from Studio Ghibli called Ponyo on the Cliff looks interesting and like any Ghibli is well suited for the younger set along with the oldies like Spirited Away and Kiki's delivery service. Last but not least is the second half on John Woo's Red cliff, his award winning drama about the last great battle to unify China.

For those of you who are in the local area, we've got a small incentive to bring someone new to the store. If you bring in one or more new persons to the store who make a purchase while they are here, we'll give you an ANIMEniacs T-shirt with the Ferret Logo on the Front and our address on the back. That way, you can brag to everyone that you know where this large Anime store is located. If they make a purchase of $25.00 or more, we'll give the new person one to go along with yours. These are in limited supply at the moment so it is first come, first served. They really are nice by the way, we were wearing them at the Sakura-Con.

Lastly, I will just mention agqain that we are now offering disc polishing and repair service for all types of playable discs from CDs to Dvds to Game discs. If your having problems with scratchs and such causing your discs to malfunction then bring them in and we'll make them like new again. Inexpensive and quick, takes about 10 minutes for a disc, but saves hours of frustration or the cost of replacing them.

Well, time to return to the store and shelf stocking. Take care and see you there.
