And I thought Evangelion couldn't get any better... This is the Rebuild of Evangelion movie covering the first six episodes of the tv series. What we have is almost a note for note remake, often using the same dialogue and animation, just spruced up. The selling point for this is a lot of the redone animation, new scenes, additional dialog, etc, is all of motion picture quality. This is an excellent movie that doesn't at all feel truncated or unwieldy as a lot of these episodes-to-movie conversions can. As far as the picture and sound, it was all perfect as far as I could tell. The subtitles were also far better than expected. All in all, I can't find one negative thing to say about this release. It's only deepened my already bottomless esteem for this series. Bring on the second movie!!!
