I was not the least bit disappointed with it. I’m not the big mech fan, but this isn’t all mech, and the parts that were mech were still awesome. The story behind the whole thing was well done in my opinion, and since in this series, men and women reside on different planets, there is quite a lot of comedy involved. The video quality for the first season (The First Stage) was good, with very few problems, the Second Stage sorta offset it, as there were some quality issues with the first few episodes. As for sound, however, that wasn’t compromised with the second season, which seemed to be very good throughout both seasons. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this anime. There is a lot of action, and a lot of those “HOLY @#$%” type moments. (for all you DBZ fans out there, just think about the time when Vegeta did final flash or when Goku first went SSJ3)

This is a beautiful set and is worth buying immeadiately! Now I know what youre thinking...."It's got CG battles, it's no good." Rest assured, the animation and CG works incredibly well! It feel's as if they were made for each other! My only complaint, is that there weren't any good extras. The extra's on the dvd were only previews of other GONZO titles. Sad but true. But don't let this technicality stop you! This is a great price for a boxset, and ths IS worthy to be in anyones collection! So if you like mecha, sexy women, colorful animation, great voice acting(both Jap and Eng) and Pyoro, you'll love this! And hey, it's only $24.00

I know my anime.// having 75 complete series under the belt, VanDread still stands out as a must own. [THE PLOT] this anime goes where a lot of animes dont, 2 planets, male and female and they have all these werid things like an OMA or whatever. CG animation in space ++ its great! [Characters] The main character was egotistical and rude, but its better than having your protagonist like shinji from evangelion.. All the Chicks in this one were really great! The Video i couldnt even tell it was region zero, there is no difference between this and teh region one (cept special features) the sound was great. and the subtitles were accurate. A true 10/10... A MUST BUY!!!!
