Description
For decades, the Galactic Empire has been locked in an interstellar war with the Free Planets Alliance, a conflict that involves thousands of spaceships and millions of soldiers on both sides. Legend of Galactic Heroes isn't your typical animated fair. The closest analogy I can come up with a 52 hour version of the film "The Longest Day." It tells the story of the war between the Reich Empire and the Free Alliance of Plants, which has already raged for over 150 years. Unlike similar war stories, . . .

This is an excellent DVD of a great series. Unfortunately I purchased the LOGH part 2 from another website and it had compatability problems on my DVD players and very bad timing on the 2nd disk. To my surprise there are no such problems here.

I was really surprised at the quality of these discs. I bought this hesitantly, since I had much of this fansubbed on tape, but, I'm not disappointed in the least.
The video quality is clear, the subtitles are good - no engrish that I saw. While I did notice some differences between the fansub's and theses DVDs translations, it wasn't a big deal and didn't amount to much.
I'm very happy to replace my fansubs with these, and can hardly wait for the rest of the episodes to find their way onto disc.
