Description
Sashi Imamiya and Arumi Asahina live in the Abenobashi shopping district in Osaka. One summer day the two kids are transported to the parallel universe, Maho Shotengai (Magical Shopping District), where common sense is far from being common. Sashi and Arumi are a comical pair lost in a bizarre and wacky alternate world. Will the two ever make it home?
The story was very unique and very interesting. The main problem was that the comedy I didn't find humorous, every once in a while I'd hiccup a laugh, but other than that the jokes were very stale.
I didn't truly enjoy the show through the first few episodes and it didn't really get interesting until the very end. By that time there were two or three episodes left so it ended with an empty, I want more of that type, of feeling.
Has the foundations for a great show, but in the end seemed to barely pull it off.
And a slight reccomendation, if you do choose to buy this, watch it in japanese, the accents can truly get on your nerves, subtitles run along clearly enough to understand what's going on.

This is a head trip, pure and simple! It's like FLCL on acid, if you can imagine that. With the characters drifting in and out of one alternate reality after another it's just too trippy. The cross dressing man adds to the hilarity. There are so many different anime genres that get parioded you have to watch it to belive it. I especially liked the what I think is the most unique sequence on uriniating I've ever seen. All of this certifiable insanity comes to us courtesy of Gainex, of course. The video was pretty good, although it had a herky jerky quality in places. Audio-no problems. Subs-very good overall, just some minor contexual errors. This is worth the money. most definetly!!
