I just wanted to correct myself don't I don't completely appear like an idiot. This particular series is 36 episodes--not 40-some, and yes, then that comes out to slightly more than 0.50cents an eps. My girlfriend who just bought the us release of this (she insists on overpaying) brought hers over to compare. Although her artwork on her set looks different, the dvd qual looks the same. And there is a Menu--I still can't get mine to show up at the beginning, but it appears at the end after watching the eps. You can prolly navigate it somehow with a remote. Awesome buy, just got the second one.

Well I'm not sure how fair my ratings are. I'm pretty sure this set doesn't have a menu lol. It went right into the first episode when I popped in the dvd. It's a pretty good set---hella worth saving $128 for the U.S. copy. It basically looks like what we all watched it as on the television, no better, no worse. And sinse I haven't seen the U.S. version being as it just came out and I can't find it anywhere much less someone who has $150 to drop on it, it very well could be *just* as good. I gave subtitles a ten, even though it's all english, no subs. The set comes in a fold-out case that is in a plastic sleeve. 3 beautiful dvd's. Each break in dvd goes to the next episode. For someone who has never seen sailor moon, this is a great set to try out. You get to view the first 40-some episodes at less than $0.50 a piece. It's a long running anime, but there is always something interesting going on. But it is 'old'---so if you don't mind the duller colors and some bad dubbing in some parts (NOT the imports problem, just how the anime is, but are into shojou anime, then I'd think you'd enjoy it!
