Everything was great (Except the dubbing which I found annoying, although well executed; but that's just me), worth the purchase, blah blah blah. But the reason I write this review is to tell you this. I believe Escaflowne is one of, if not the, most important animes created. Escaflowne is a symbolic story of the fate of humanity. Escaflowne is a guide to understanding the true power of concsiousness, and thus the psychic, magic, 6th sensual abilities lying dormant behind our closeminded, fearful egos. Escaflowne is a portrayal of the true meaning and power of Love. There is no doubt in my mind that the creator of Escaflowne was a truly enlightened being. If we continue to view all beings, ourselves included, as seperate and independant, we harbor feelings of "what is best for ME?". We become incecure, fearful people with animosity for one another. Is that last sentence not an accurate description of humanity today? But if we come to understand the unity of all beings, and that all of us are very much alike, and have a huge effect on one anothers life, we can hopefully come to the question "What is best for ALL OF US?" Escaflowne has this, and much more to teach. I'm so thankful I bought this package, and I can't wait to give it away so that hopefully someone else will feel the same way I do. I highly recommend this anime.

This set is incredible, nothing less. The packaging is beautiful with fantastic artwork, the audio is 1st rate along with the video. Subtitles are great, characters we all know, story is a bit fluffy but just twisted enough to make an impression. This is another MUST HAVE set. Thanks again FX and Animeniacs! Keep up the good work.

The subs timing was a little off in the series sometimes and the movie had some problems but I never had to go back and re-read anything. The video could have been crisper for the TV eps, but the sound was awesome for everything. I definintaly recommend this!

YOu should buy it from here. This is about a girl who travel to another world and met this VAn who is pretty darn cool. YOu might end up hatin teh girl for a while. SHE IS SO ANNOYIN. Well I'm different from most. Hate girls that try to get what they can't and do whatever it take. Anyway this is FX what could u expect. The quality is quite awesome

A young boy around her age and the Dragon that he is trying to kill. The world named Gaia, and her foretell skill leads her to that Fantasy land Gaia... She meets new people... new sorrow.. and new hope... What is with this Dragon Escaflowne? What is going on in Gaia? and How can she come back to Earth? And....what happened to her grandmother... and why Gaia reminds Hitomi of her? This is the Vision of Escalowne! Perfect... What can I say? This sure is perfect set of very famous animation series of all time. Music by Kanno Yoko herself, and the picture is very elegant. Story is good.. Too bad this animation had to face the fame of Evangelion when they came out. Video, Sound, and Subtitle is as nice as those Cowboy bebop and Trigun.... just like they mentioned.. FX edition. You will enjoy this package... if you are Escaflowne fan. ;) And I GOTTA SAY, What a price for these all dvds!
